Water Access and Sanitation Programme (W.A.S.H)
The Goal
Provide clean water, sanitation facilities and promote hygienic practices to underprivileged communities.

Identify Water Sources

Our community outreach personnel help us identify potential water sources.

We also ensure that the water sources are safe for consumption by conducting tests.

If the water is declared safe for consumption, we plan a project to extract, store and distribute water from the sources.

Water is then made available to the communities.

Water Storage

Depending on rainfall, leaves communities and regions disadvantaged due to the change on our climate.

Water storage equipment proves beneficial to communities experiencing little rain.

The stored water can then be used for agriculture and human consumption.

Water Conservation

Provide equipment for rain water harvesting to collect water.

Promote sustainable agricultural practices like planting drought-resistant crops, crop selection during planting, soil conservation practices and drip irrigation.

Educate communities on how to manage water sources, curb pollution, reuse and recycle water.

Proper Sanitation, Saves Lives

By promoting proper sanitary practices, we reduce the risk of diseases caused through contamination.

Handwashing

Simple, effective and practical handwashing is still key in reducing the diseases caused through contamination.

Sadly, the practice of handwashing is not universally accessible to all and some are not aware of proper handwashing practices.

Educate schools and communities on how to effective handwashing after handling waste and before preparing food.

Setting up handwashing stations at sanitation facilities and providing access to clean water and soap.

Latrine Construction

Waste management is essential in communities, and waste disposal is key to promoting proper hygiene.

By excavating and installing dry latrines in the rural and semi-arid areas, we promote good sanitary practices and reduce the risk of diseases caused through contamination.

Community Engagement

Educating communities about proper waste management, curbing pollution, proper sanitation and hygienic practices.

Inspiring and creating community-driven sanitation activities by encouraging communities to own, appreciate and care for their environments to the benefit of their health.

Behavioural Change

By helping communities understand the importance of proper sanitation and its benefits.

This helps reduce unsanitary practices like open-defecation, which spreads diseases by contaminating water sources.

Encouraging and demonstrating the compounding benefits of adopting a hygienic and sanitary lifestyle.
